 Post at least three consequences of learning about the international early childhood field for your professional and personal development.

1.      All across the world early childhood sectors have challenges. Being consumed in the issues that surround our sector, it is easy to think that the challenges are unique to our local sector, but through extensive research and reading they were not. Working to develop the school community and the families involved is a nationwide issue.

2.      Reading and listening to professionals from all over the world has allowed me to take on new challenges and goals. To be aware of the different issues that are faced by others from a global perspective and analyze what is being done to minimize or eliminate the various issues or trends that are affecting young children, families and educators.

3.      I learnt so much from listening to the podcasts and visiting websites concerning early childhood education in other countries. I am now more aware of the many organizations that are helping young children.

 

Post one goal for the field related to international awareness of issues and trends and the spirit of collegial relations

It is my goal to collaborate with institutions, my colleagues and other entities around the world to continue to investigate and gain more knowledge about issues and trends in the Early Childhood field, keeping a strong communication bond with persons internationally as this aids in bringing across positive outcomes. It is wonderful to see the extreme changes being made in the EC sector to bring out equity for all.
